Palazzo dei Priori

The Palazzo del Capitano, in Gothic style, was built in 1293. It was called " new palace" to distinguish it from the ancient one, Palazzo del Popolo. The first floor housed the Justice Hall, now known as Sala delle Pietre; the second floor housed the justice rooms, now it houses the Picture Gallery.
