Saint Carlo church, formerly St. Ilario,
is close by. There is mention of it in a register of Monks of Farfa, to
whom it belonged ( 1112). In 1623 the church was given to the Company
of Saint Carlo. The fa?ade is in Lombard style, and it is embellished
with a horizontal denticulation which is repeated five times. There is
a central wheel-shaped window of 12th century with eight small columns
converging to a star-shaped central ring. In the small lunette it is possible
to see an old fresco depicting St. Carlo's face.
A step separates the part for the believers and the clergy, four steps
lead to the presbytery, where the travertine altar lies.
